AUGUST 5, 2010 - "Airport Stories: Are We There Yet?"

Tracey Kurtzman: Perpetually teased by her friends and family for giving "TMI," Tracey is an unapologetically immature wife and mother who lives by the rule that "If you can't have fun at work, you've got the wrong job." Raised in Phoenix, her proudest accomplishment was serving as Thespian President at her high school. Tracey started college at U of A as an acting major, but got distracted by anthropology, so naturally she became a pediatrician. With the exception of three wonderful years in Virginia and two years of hell in Texas, she has lived in Tucson since 1988. Tracey currently works as an academic pediatrician at U of A where she cares for children with chronic illness and teaches future doctors. She is happily married with two kids and two dogs, and is especially proud of the fact that she can say "thank you" in eleven languages including Pig Latin.

Drew Cronyn is a local pediatrician who embarked on the life of a single adoptive parent nearly four years ago. He currently lives at Stonecurves Co-Housing, where he enjoys the almost Rockwellian sense of knowing all his neighbors, growing greywater-irrigated veggies in the back yard and the continuing surprise that consensus can work. His son, Matvey, is entering first grade at Khalsa Montessori this year and is still trying to decide whether he wants to be a basketball robot or a race car driver or a daddy when he grows up. They leave for Disneyland with Drew's three nephews and no other adults in three days. Wish them luck!

Gregory Sweet has been in telecommunications network development for 38 years and has worked / traveled in 49 states and 13 countries. He is also a local actor and DJ at 91.3 FM KXCI Radio. In addition, Gregory is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Business and Law at Pima Community College and has an MBA from Eastern Illinois University. Greg has “many” true stories similar to “How I met Fred” in his Repertoire.

Stephanie Baldwin is a local Tucson artist who loves to paint portraits and stories. She is deeply into music and plays a weird variety of instruments no one has ever heard of. She writes songs and once in awhile overcomes fear to sing in public. Rumor has it that Stephanie tells some unique and interesting stories. Sometimes she believes this to be true.

Lorna Soroko is so serious about being around good stories that she chose a line of work guaranteed to provide them on a regular basis: private investigating. And she uses her real life adventures as inspiration for a series of detective novels that she's writing. She's also a Fellow at the U of A Hanson Film Institute, where she guest teaches about developing and pitching TV and movie ideas, and she consults on film business issues for clients large and small. Before moving to Tucson, Lorna worked in the entertainment biz developing new TV. series and movies for a production company based at Warner Bros., did some of her own writing and producing, and, before making the leap from her left brain to her right, she wheeled and dealed as an entertainment lawyer in L.A. Don't get her mad because her two Cheetoh cats are part leopard. Really.

Nic Adams ventured to Tucson in 2007 to pursue a study in theatre. That study began at the University of Arizona and is currently continuing at The Rogue Theatre, where he works as General Manager and Producer of their "After Curfew" series with The Now Theatre. This is his first story with Odyssey.
