Odyssey Storytelling Event at Club Congress

There's a storytelling group in Tucson, called Odyssey Storytelling, that occasionally puts on storytelling events-each focused on a single subject. This week, this captivating contest will be held at Club Congress on Thursday. The theme is . . . “illegal.”Six people each have ten minutes to tell the story of something they have done that is illegal. Could be anything . . . like not wearing a seatbelt or jaywalking-something that isn't kosher. You get to listen to the stories. I think this will be a total blast. The stories, by the way, are not read or memorized.

Updated information - I just received a very nice note from someone connected with Odyssey Storytelling. I wanted to share what she wrote because she makes a couple of great points:

A friend just told me about your website and I visited with the intention of suggesting that you add Odyssey Storytelling. To my delight, it was there already! Thanks so much for including us.
A few comments on your description. Odyssey is an independent production that features an eclectic collection of volunteer storytellers from the community. The tellers and themes change each show - we are not a “club”.

Also, there's no “contest”, everyone's a winner at Odyssey!
